Best time to visit

While Becks Safari Lodge is open for visits year-round, the best time to visit depends on your preferences:

For Optimal Wildlife Viewing:

  • Dry Season (April – October): This period boasts minimal rainfall, leading to thinner vegetation and easier animal spotting during game drives. Additionally, the weather is generally warm and sunny, making for more comfortable outdoor activities.

For Lower Prices and Fewer Crowds:

  • Green Season (November – March): This season offers lusher landscapes and a vibrant display of wildflowers. However, it can be hotter and more humid, and there may be a higher chance of encountering rain, potentially impacting certain activities.

Specific Considerations:

  • Birdwatching: If your primary focus is birdwatching, the spring months (September – November) offer the greatest variety of migratory birds.
  • Avoiding peak season: If you prefer a quieter experience with potentially lower prices, consider visiting outside of peak season (July – August), which coincides with South African school holidays.

Ultimately, the best time to visit Becks Safari Lodge depends on your individual priorities and desired experience.
